Who to contact

What we collect
- Your email address and password. Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication and is never visible to us.
- Your intake profile: name, age, sex if you give it, height, weight, goals, schedule, equipment, movements to avoid, and notes.
- Your answers to the health check.
- Your training logs.
- Your food logs and weigh-ins.
- Photos and log files you upload.
- Your payment status. Card details go to Stripe, not to us; we store only your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and the subscription's status.
- The referral code you entered or arrived with, if any.
- A record of what you agreed to when you signed up.
- Basic server logs, such as your IP address and browser, kept by Google Cloud for security and debugging.
Why we use it
To coach you: calculate your targets and write your sessions. To send you emails about your account. To bill you. To keep the service secure. Nothing else.
Your health information
Health-check answers are sensitive, and we treat them that way. They are used only to keep your coaching safe: for example, more conservative sessions, and no calorie deficit, where your answers call for it.
Who else handles it
These companies run parts of the service for us and handle your information to do it:
- Google Cloud and Firebase: sign-in (Firebase Authentication), the database (Firestore), the website (Hosting) and the server (Cloud Run). Your data is stored in the United States (Google Cloud multi-region nam5).
- Google Vertex AI: your profile, logs, food descriptions and photos are sent to it to write your sessions and read your meals. Under Google Cloud's terms, that data is not used to train Google's models.
- Resend: delivers our emails.
- Stripe: takes payments.
Your information is processed outside Canada, in the United States.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information.
- We don't use it for advertising.
- We don't share it with trainers or partners. A trainer who referred you sees nothing of your data.
Only you and the operator, as administrator, can access your account's data.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. Database backups are kept for up to 14 days after that. Server logs are kept for about 30 days.
Your choices
- Download everything we hold about you, or delete your account, from your account page.
- Correct your profile and health answers from your profile page.
- Ask a question or make any other request by emailing info@thechrisworkout.com.
- Complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta about how we handle your information.
Age
The Chris Workout is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll email you about it.
